Yep. Had to damage the existing for prune in lapping wheel slightly to get it off. It had rusted slightly to the shaft.
Need to get a diamond wheel for it but struggling to find anything with half decent dimensions. The widest resin bound diamond wheel i can find is about 10mm
Thought I'd have a couple of inches spare and I was right. Can't see it coming off the pallet anytime soon so it remains closer to the roof than needs be. It was squeeky bum time watching it descend on the tail lift but the delivery driver did a good job.
Surface rust is coming away nicely with WD40 and wire wool.
I have a suitable VFD but everything else will have to wait till payday.

I got a cutie little bench top tool and cutter grinder. There's no markings on it but it's clearly modelled on the Union.
Got a small stack of accessories but I know I missed some. Took some finding to search this little lot out.

Some years ago I was checking progress on machining of a 15 tonne fabrication in sub-contract place somewhere in an old mill Lancashire - got a bit of a tour of the place - one of the motors on a mill was poking up into a hole in the ceiling . . . a little while later, in the office upstairs, walked past an upside down waste bit . . . yep, under it was the motor . . .
Not sure how that passed any fire inspection etc.

What diameter etc is the wheel you need? I've an assortment, bnib, that came from Molins in Deptford.

I sell books on Amazon and have had a couple of "negative" reviews, but always people disagreeing with the content/views of the book! Reflects on me though which I find extremely unfair.
Looking forward to the restoration thread as I have one of those and need to read the manual to see what it is capable of.
Pal of mine had his Bridgeport in the basement and you had to go upstairs behind the sofa to get at the drawbar!

I keep thinking about the air jacks,I have a monster trolley jack but need a replacement for my smaller jack. What are they like? Where were they from? Were they a good price? Cheers Al

They're really good. We have one at work and it's great. Really light and compact, lifts in an instant effortlessly. I'd not used them before, but they're really good.
Those 2 came off eBay, the big one was £96 and the small £250. There are all different brands, with cheap ones starting around £70.
I've not used those 2 in anger yet, but the similar one at work will lift the whole front end of 3.5t van in about 3 seconds.

The PCL Airforce inflators with the dial are really nice. I much prefer them over the "inline" ones.

I bought this a few years ago, it was a toss-up between a PCL and this.

It is my new workbench/place of work. It is a very long story and at times incredibly unfair but I have decided to help my pal Gareth out who has been shafted by his (now EX) partner. The lad hasn't seen wages in three months now but hopefully we are heading the right direction. As is always the way with these things nowadays I am probably going to be spending most of my time in the office digging my way out of a mountain of paperwork. It will be good though when I can get it sorted because I have quite a few projects I would like to do.
One of which is to get that Transmig working.
