Yes, thanks for that. I did the same as you and found the same thing, but I don't think it's right. The curve on the jaw suggests to me it's for holding a webbing strap and rolling the tool to apply tension. But hey, I asked the question because I'm not sure..........

I'm still using most of a Kamasa set of 1/2, 3/8 and 1/4 drive that I bought aged 17 - 35yrs ago. The original ratchets died a long time ago, but the replacement Kamasa branded one with a plastic body, metal top and bottom plates, that I bought a couple years after the set, despite my low expectations is still going strong.

I have 1/2" drive metric set in a metal case and a separate 3/8" and 1/4" drive Kamasa set in a fabric case with a now broken zip and the ratchets in both sets went wonky but the sockets are top notch. I have a Britool 1/2" ratchet, Facom 3/8" drive and a Stahlwille 1/4" drive all bought as replacements. I lost the 8mm 1/4" drive socket and replaced it with a cheap ebay one. Mine are more like 50 years old.

Haven't a clue what post, or who, you're replying to.

Out of date lamp oil. I was told it is the plastic bottel that goes out of date, not the contents.

Water damaged fork shaft. A Hammer handle. It was returned to the shop. As it didn't fit.

I use that in our pressure canning sessions as unlike common household salt it does not make the jars contents go cloudy even after them being in the jars for a couple of years or more .

Tip for you…. If you go to the food isle it’s got a best before date and a high price.

Go to the bath isle. Himalayan Bath Salts is about a tenth the price.

I noticed it stood in a line to pay. The ingredients / contents are exactly the same.

Bathsalts are usually coloured perfumed small crystal washing soda crystals . not rock salt , I wouldn't even think of using them for preserving foodstuffs unless it was for food Putin was about to eat .
The food preserving salts are quite different & must not be confused as the same product.

The link just gives a load of blurb about it being 100% natural salt free from anything?? Except oily salt or whatever it’s called.

Next time you’re in TK Max look at the two bags side by side. No difference. That’s where we get it. Been chomping it for years and I’m not dead yet

I just thought food grade meant it’s got a bit of paper that shows it’s pedigree. Which in himayala, if it’s like the rest of that part of the world, was probably bought anyway
