The even years are always a bit more stressful for us, because more vehicles have to go through the TÜV/MOT than in the years in between.
Cars and trailers under 3.5t get a two-year valid general inspections, above this limit only one - our largest 12t trailer had even between the annual general inspections every six months a safety inspection - I have also this year reduced it to 10t and must go with it only every 12 months.

Among others, these three vehicles were also due over the past month, on the Sprinter I had to weld on the sheet metal for the first time, the green 3t trailer made no trouble at all and then I was quite surprised by my inspector not wanting to let the silver-blue 2t trailer through because of the floor ....
... how does he come up with such ideas ...
Hmmm .... after some cleaning up .... he might have had a point there ...

In my defense, this trailer we have moved to the last TÜV / MOT last and not really used for years, in addition, a hole in the roof was still completely unknown to me, so water has always come on the already weakened wood.

So the question: scrap or invest???
And investing today actually means just that, investing properly!

The work was one thing, after all you have sons ....
... but the market for screen printing plates must have changed dramatically since I last looked ...
1. no one was able to supply me the plate of 3560x1650x15mm in one piece - so I had to piece on the middle of the two crossbars;
2. most of those who could supply 15mm screen printing plate, had themselves only 2500x1250mm plates, from which I could not get my center piece of 1650x1460mm at all;
3. the prices were shocking.

The cheapest deal ended up being the following:
One company could supply 2500x1500mm panels and also cut them to size, but you always had to buy whole panels.
The largest panels were cheaper in terms of area than the slightly smaller panels.
So to get 1 piece 1650x1460 and 2 pieces 1460x1040, I have three plates á 2500x1500mm - in the car you can see only the rest pieces.
But I have to say, never did anyone cut the plates as precise as these guys!
Grand total including taxes: € 427,47

Needless to say, all screws and rivets could only be loosened and removed with the universal wrench angle grinder.

All cut edges, holes and countersinks were treated with end grain sealant - although I am skeptical, because the brushes were according to the instructions to clean with water, I would have liked something more toxic.

The inspector was pleasantly surprised at today's follow-up inspection, no idea what kind of hack job he expected ...
Now we'll make it nice as a whole and then consider whether we want to sell or keep it.

No, you can't just leave it like that. You bought your wife a vacuum cleaner? And she's happy about it? You've obviously misread the situation. You aren't getting any for days.**** right.

I tested it on dry cat food. It was the closest thing to hand. No, you can't just leave it like that. You bought your wife a vacuum cleaner? And she's happy about it? You've obviously misread the situation. You aren't getting any for days.
It has a blow function.
Like the dwarf and the Henry in the circus? You may be needing that, Mr. Romance.
That is a nice job.
Ahhh the TUV…. I went in for an umwelt plakett with a uk van. That really twisted his head.
He tried to give me the yellow. I know she should have a green one. We had an argument. I got given a red one
No refunds, no appeal
This was a 2003 iveco dailyDon't mess with the TÜV (Technischer Überwachungsverein = Technical Surveillance Association) they have always the longer lever
A red Umweltplakette is actually reserved for cars like the biggest 1971 Cadillac with 6.2mpg, without any emission control - but they would be able to get an oldtimer license plate here, without an environmental badge (30 years and older).
You had bad luck and he had a bad day.
They have blue in the middle of Berlin now? My friend now lives in Kreuzberg and it’s a nuisance with his car. It cannot get blue.
That is a nice job.
I acquired brownie points. And a light (cheers Kim for the recommendation.)
Mrs79 acquired a hoover. Well actually a Milwaukee but it’s not got the same ring to it

I need one for my Swinden and I might as well have it before I take it apart.
Probably quite a smart guy for realising that the tool would get him in trouble....better to learn after the first mishap than continue until you lose something important! He admitted that he scared himself so decided to sell it at the car boot and get a battery powered one instead.
Got these from the bootfair on Sunday, forgot to post the pics.
Set of wad punches for £8

And a nearly new chainsaw for a tenner. The chain was hanging off and the guy had cut through the power cord about 3 feet from the plug end somehow. He admitted that he scared himself so decided to sell it at the car boot and get a battery powered one instead. I cut the cord back and put a new plug on it.
