Mr DHL has left me a box.
Again the contents are as I pulled them out.
A pair of bicycle lamps.
The red one is an Ever Ready RAF Fire officers lamp, the part number confirms this. It is not a GPO lamp.
The black one is a Cival Defence lamp.
But not an Every Ready one.
It is a difficult to find Vesta one.
But, Vesta got hold of the old Every Ready stamps, for the body, the cap is "Localy stamped.
Chuck hey is for a Old B&D drill the rest will be donated.

Not an acquisition because I didn’t have my wallet, but it will be in the morning.
Putting it on here for the benefit of the hive - Lidl have big buckets of trim clips for cars. They also have a tool kit to remove / install them without (hopefully) busting them

Just got home to these lovelies:
Big sister and BIL have booked a 3 bedroom cottage near Lochinver for a week next month and have invited me and OH along. I forecast a dive or two to collect some scallops , lots of walking, a fair amount of swimming, and a lot of chilling out watching the wildlife whilst partaking of some uisge beatha

.Today I aquired.... one of those Lidl Parkside Inverter MMA jobbers to play with for £49.99.
Really only bought cos I'd been toying with the idea of trying arc welding, and a 3-yr Warranty and 50-quid....
My last (& only) attempt to stick weld was when I was 19 or 20, with z borrowed ancient hefty old transformer thing - and it didnt go well.
Had a quick play tonight as I had a pir of steel bicycle hangers that the OH wanted the opposite way round to help get her bikes down - so I cut the ends off, and had a bash at reattaching the hook ends with the baby Parkside.
It proved to get a nice smooth little welder, and I was able to get some (pretty ugly, but strong) welds right off the bat!
Getting a strike-up (cheapo Lidl 2mm rods bought at the same time) on lower settings I'm struggling with, but that's going to be the operator at least in part.
Even if it only sees use for some quick and nasty field repairs - it's small, portable, cheap, and will be a bit of fun to dabble with, so

Fantastic place.
But you will be there in midge season!
Done both strimmer and blower ones in last 12 months. Maybe the ethanol?

Use a killer spray type pump up sprayer with lance & an adjustable jet and 1/4 cup of green Fairy liquid in 3 litres of water to spray the panels after giving then a good hosing down ,
Agitate the soapy covering with a long handled soft brush and hose it off when you've done all the panels , then hose it off after another ten min or so . The green Fairy liquid has palm oil in it which helps future dust & crud come off when it rains ... last a good six months too .
