I'd clocked coming in an abandoned trolley by the tills with 6 bags on. As I'm standing looking at the empty shelves a Wickes guy brought the trolley back and said "That's all we've got, do you want the lot?"

Think I've got the same one. Last of the big ones before the brushless ones, had it drilling 20mm from a 10mm pilot into a duct today as couldn't find the holesaw. Beast, you need the side handle on low speed.

Bought off ebay, and just arrived today. I’ve been thinking of making some of these clamps for a while now, but I saw these, put in a bid and won.
No sizes were given in the listing, and it turns out they are big. I didn’t have a mug handy for scale, so the chess set will have to do.
I probably won’t need them all, but who cares.

Ditto, and good reminder that I've been meaning to get a set for ages.I've modified old screwdriver's in the past on the rare occasions I needed a pick. Thanks for mentioning your positive experience with the Rolson picks, I'll be on the lookout for a set. For what they are, I can't see the need to spend a lot.
Damn, Amazon suppliers won't send to Ireland hardly at all now, including several I've dealt with quite happily before the B-word.
I ended up getting a set of Draper long reach picks. They'll do for now, at least.

This came today along with a tapping head (bought the box and got what was in it, including a used first aid kit?) so I will be looking around to find somewhere to sell it (suggestions welcome). Really nice thing, I suppose it is sort of "Vintage Diagnostics" :-)

interesting stuff, aye mine works, but interesting to see his comments on the tighter mesh maybe being less efficient. I'll be honest I hadn't given it any thought, just put it in, saw jewellers type ultrasonics using very fine mesh so just copied the idea. Noticed I sometimes have to put really ****ty parts through a couple of times but I put that down to just using demineralised water, with no cleaning agent to avoid furring up or damaging the really small carb parts off chainsaws, small engines etc. Now after reading that, could it be that it's maybe more the mesh size? might do some experimenting to see.
The problem is the advantage of the small mesh is for really small components, jets etc... which is pretty much all I use it for, so it's maybe a trade off efficiency against practicality. Although Jewellers, watch makers and the like pretty much exclusively have to use the smaller mesh for the size of the parts, and theirs obviously work? what do they do differently? different frequencies range maybe? interesting subject though......

you will, one day you will, and despite how many you have, you'll need 1 more . it's a strange law, the number of clamps needed equals number available -1... or it just seems that way;..

Wanted some VHT paint.
Nipped out to my normal place.
This was on the counter and I asked what was wrong with it.
Was told it didn't work, but I could take it away for spares for mine, so I did.
I also brought more than VHT paint. I got all the paint I need.
Got it home, true it didn't work.
Hmm, cant think why it didn't work.
10 mins later it was fixed.
Oh that cable is after I cut it out and fixed a new length.
Nipped out to my normal place.

I doubt the kegs are any use for home brew but they'll make nice crappy upcycled garden seating, could even just cut the top out and make big stainless buckets, always handy.
The wood will be a vast improvement on our current garden table. Got a BBQ in a couple of weeks so pretty good timing.
