There used to be one in the 2nd office I worked in - the Manager used to carry it in the boot of his car for extra weight, if there was snow. It was a heavy old thing and took two to carry it.

No 'scale' mug in @Olderisbetter's pic but it may have been bigger....

The plate size is just over A4 size

A few years back I bought what was touted as a Clarkson collet chuck in 40Int for my Bridgeport 1ES mill. Must admit I didn't do the research that would have quickly shown it wasn't a Clarkson, but I soon realised the error when I found a Clarkson collet wouldn't fit Luckily the chuck was cheap.
Anyway, it got shoved carefully stored in a cabinet for some time until a week or so back when it fell out on my foot, reminding me of its presence.
There are no maker's marks on it anywhere, helpfully but a bit of measuring and ogling of machinist's porn made me suspect it is in fact a small Osborn Titanic, or at any rate a copy of one - Rotagrip do one but this doesn't resemble theirs. I found dimensions for the collets and the chuck seemed to match.
As luck would have it someone on Ebay had a slack handful of metric and imperial collets up for grabs so I stuck in a bid and bagged them, and then I saw that the same seller had an original Osborn spanner which I also grabbed - and it fits, albeit a bit snugly.
I'm sure I used to have more screwed-shank cutters than I can now find, though...

Also on its way is an 8x6x5 inch Eclipse angle plate: have you seen the bloody prices of them these days?!
I was also looking at MT3 parallel check bars but they're a bit spendy for what they are as well: in another thread someone had suggested using one to clock the spindle reducer of my Boxford to verify the taper so I can make a 5C collet adapter: by way of a compromise I've picked up a soft stub arbor that I can true-up while fitted to the adapter and then reverse in the 4-jaw to clock the adapter, or that's the plan... watch this space

Oh and I got this lot on Saturday too, supposed to be very nice paint to use conventionally, but crucially, it’s also designed for spray application

It is nice paint I've used the Helmi 30 and the Otex Akva, a bit more expensive than other paint, but worth it. Good to see your delivery arrived intact

Today I might have acquired arc eye?

So I was using my super new 3m speedglas helmet (with the adflo air kit)....all the gear on feeling very happy with myself....struck the arc and then realised I hadn't put the bloomin welding lens down

That's the first time I've every done that and now I'm worrying...hopefully the perspex grinding shield is designed with idiots in mind and that has uv protection....and I was wearing my standard specs too.....fingers crossed...I feel like such a fool!

That's the same model someone sold on ebay recently for about 600 quid with a rusty compressor and some rotten oxy fuel gear. He had it advertised as RTech.

I was grumpy because it was a favour for someone and I wasn't enjoying doing it at all so think I was in a mood!....so I checked the grinding perspex shield and it is stamped "ansi z87" which might (I hope) be some kind of UV protection type rating?. It was only 2-3 seconds so hopefully I'm OK.

I got a free tyre today. I wasn't sure whether to bother as I've had to spend money to get rid of some old tyres fairly recently (tyres that I've had so long that, had I chucked them out when I first got them I could have sent them to the tip for free) but it's the right size for my daily, has decent tread, and will do to go on a spare wheel for when I need to paint mine again.

Should be fine most/all clear plastic will filter uv.
