No. There has been a repair to the casting on the stand. Tailstock end

That looks just like a shaped edge of the apron top plate casting. Looks like it has had a repair to the foot of the pedestal at the tailsock end - all part of its character. Another lovely machine tool. Don't think it will fit in that IBC though!

Yes there is a few repairs. It does look like there is a big crack but its not. There is a small bit of casting missing in that area but nothing that can't be fixed. Given its age its entitled to a bit.

They are very good vices.

What I want for mine is the anvil set.
They did a set of 6 for those vices.

I have only ever seen one in real life.

I've finally received the final part of my DRO from Banggood. It has come in three separate packages a few weeks apart. I never have much luck with Banggood. Stuff seems to end up out of stock or never leaves China. It is rarely a quick or trouble free purchase unless it is a small cheap item.

I went for this model as it appeared to be the same one that Myfordboy from Youtube uses and it seemed OK for him. It comes with covers and fittings. I've switched it on, plugged in a scale and it seems to work OK. Just need to fit it to my Marlow mill now.


The tracking on the last package to arrive (The long scale) shows it was shipped from China to Belgium and then onto the UK. Maybe that's why I've been lucky to avoid any official interference to any of the three packages along the way. Might coming via the EU rather than direct from China help?

Yes though I bought them already welded,time constraints decided that.

Hard to beat for the price. There’s all sorts of add-ons for these rolly toys; like a back hoe, front loader, trailer, bowser etc but I thought the first job could be an electric conversion. I have a 14.4v Ikea drill I was saving for such a thing.

I'm about to order one of the Banggood DROs too. Did the scales come with any universal brackets etc?
