Not quite today, but the other two boxes of the previous delivery turned up yesterday, but I only got a chance to unbox them tonight.
So now the positioning juggle begins


That is the minimum spacing recommended for the drives.


However, I do want to leave space for adding an additional drive for a 4th axis.
That isn't the VFD that will be getting used, as the 240-380V VFD that is destined for this, is currently being trialled in place of my step up transformer rotary phase converter, but this surplus 240-240V one is about the same size.
I might shunt the VFD to a separate cabinet, as I still need to shoe horn the sine wave filter somewhere as well. I really need to work out how much more room I need for contactors/relays/terminal blocks, as it might all fit in the one cabinet...

I picked up a set of expensive Tefal stainless induction hob pans that were thrown away because the non stick was peeling off, I thought I'd try and experiment, could you remove the Teflon and get back to a usable surface ?

I used a 3M paint stripping disk and an abrasive mop thing in a drill and it worked out great, about 30 mins work for a pan that will last a lifetime.

Today I received a parcel from @northwest.



So, it had to be opened. It was heavy for it's size and it rattled well. Plus it was well sealed.




3 old fashioned tins, they will be cleaned up.



Belt buckle, off cuts of brass and copper and bits.



Ohhh Shinny.
A tuning fork, drills and more bits.

I have an RB2 k, Someone refinished the stock, I don't really like what they did with it and may darken it down and possibly, Do some fake tiger stripes!!

Put it in the back of the van and had to drive home with the widows down!

The cap had vent holes, the van was getting hot in the sun and getting in it took my breath away :-)
On the bright side the missus said I smelled "clean" when I came in, as opposed to the usual "oily".

I hate the smell of ammonia.

Used to nip over to ICI Billingham and just throw a couple of the big cylinders of Anhydrous Ammonia in the back of the pickup and drive back with them bouncing around. No PPE, no anything really. Wouldn't get away with it today. Cleared the place out a couple of times while topping the Chillers off.

To be honest I have a bit of a headache from it. I will either put the respirator on tomorrow when I decant a bit off or hold my breath and squint. Depends how much of a rush I am in :-)

One of the "health and safety" "lectures" at one place i worked consisted of the boss saying "do NOT sniff a bottle to tell whats in it". Then opening a 5l jug of clear liquid, and saying "don't breathe in- just put it near your face".

THAT lesson stuck!

Hi Doc, It's a BSA Airsporter RB2 carbine, I prefer the Rotary Breech versions as they're easier to load with my arthritic fingers!!

This is a BSA Superstar mk2k with the same loading method!

I swapped it and a Webley Hurricane for some knives, Turned out they were all clones, The git that I traded with said that one was a clone but didn't know which, He knew they all were but he's devoid of a moral compass, Hence, We're no longer mates!!

There's at least seven fakes among these (Spiderco and Hinderer), When they were outed by experts on facey, They said that just two of them would have cost around £1,200, I'd no idea and should have done my homework on them!, I knew the kid was a bit of a conman and always had to have the best end of the deal!!
