Last week my favourite singer/songwriter (Tom McRae) did a live online session thing. About half-way through he invited a guest singer/songwriter to play a song and a guy called David Ford came on. Having heard the song he did on Tom McRae's set, I listened to a few of his songs on Spotify. Following that, today I acquired:

So I did.
I was very happy with the 4 box's I found.

Yes I know right.
That is 3.

The forth was a bit more interesting.

It had things.

This I knew about, more about that anon.

A good question. But the 4 on the RHS are a set.
There is a lot of weight there.

2 is a nice surprize.

I have plans. More plans.
The Red tube in some of the pictures will be turned into a punch, to make leather washers. Well that will be used to stamp the inner part.

Having a tidy of the garage: centres from the old Turning cell at Cessna Fluid Power in Glenrothes, I picked it up when the factory closed with some other tools and found it at the back of a shelf:

So have we, not the cheapest, but never had a duff one. My wife pays so much a month (I have no idea how much) & every so often gets a case. They also support small vineyards, too tiny to get on the supermarket shelves.

View attachment 222147 500w bad-boy soldering iron. Somebody on here linked to it on ebay, and I won it, £7.99! Mug for scale. The approx 3lb copper tip gets quite hot, just from leaving it in the sun Total beast.

Soon as I sw the picture I recognised it! Thought about bidding on it myself but I didn't want to push the price up after posting about it here.

Some people for whatever reason have different reactions to electricity there is farmera local legend of a farmer who can grab an electric fence without problem then grab someone usually by the earlobe and they get the shock no t him

At school, we had quite a decent sized Van der Graaf generator.

Some people would wind it up good and proper, then leave it charged for the next unsuspecting victim to come along and investigate a little too closely.

That was, until the physics master took a right belt off it and knocked over a load of mercury in the process.

I reckon that was the nearest I got to being expelled in my educational career.

These were free today two well soldering irons same as i had as a kid just need some decent tips and i have a spare iron for my arty shed.

A bit of a tidy up; rust proofing, polish, paint the original wheels and put them on, install a 71 radio I’ve had converted to am/fm, dab and Bluetooth and get a little welding done to the inner arches. Then use her. She may get a restoration after my Amazon or I may sell her, will see at the time.
