Surprised no one has mentioned hidden dangers like wood dust (asthmagen) / weld fume (asthmagen, carcinogen + several others I haven’t yet learned to spell), noise etc.
When you cut yourself or get something in your eye you usually don’t do that particular idiot thing again, as it hurts right there and then. Why does it seem less dangerous when it takes 20 years for it to get painful?
