Excuse the messy car, but printer was worthwhile just for this little car seat gadget.

Many times my phone has fell down that gap and my hands too big to get it out.

On a Mazda 6 theres no need for TPU, I used petg for both parts and pla for the little red pieces that sit loosely on the bottom.

Sounds like a good excuse to print an external spool holder with some bearings

I've got some!

2 short pars with a bearing at each end... cheap Chinese things I bought years ago ready to use mmu unit for multi colours... but then never bothered

think 5kg spool is just a bit heavy for it, trips an error during self test when lowering the head took too much power

anyway... all working fine now :-)

16hour print... once first one is done I'll turn the print speed up and see how it oes

texture on the top surface inside the parts isn't as nice as with ABS... but that's probably down to print settings not the filament I guess?

The car seat gap thing, I was going to try colouring it instead of printing the seperate inserts. Body black and bottom of slots white. I'd like it to colour the entire layers rather than lots of filament changes.

Odd thing, Bambu wont let me set the entire layer, it wants to do the visible bit white surrounded by black, and then above that it continues in white.
7 colour changes rather than the two. Am I missing something?

another test piece for what will be a wizards chess set for my father. bone white PLA, 0.2mm layer height, he wants to paint some bits to age it and see how it looks before deciding on whether he wants the layer height thinner. will be making a board from tulip and ash i think. ive now got this one, a queen printed in white PETG at 0.12 layer height, and now printing a red copper silk PLA pawn at 0.2mm as well
