Big empty MIG wire spools with rear spacers and front handles etc make brilliant spools for lines , cables ,ribbons & extension leads etc .I would have printed something but I cant find an STL . I am after a spool holder that screws to the wall. Its probably on the principle of an angle grinder holder where a curved holder allows a spool to be placed flat on the wall. In my case it cant be totally flush as the Python spool holders have a bearing on both ends. The real awkward part is the spool holder has a large gear attached so you cant use a strip rack where the rolls all side side ways.View attachment 512953View attachment 512954
Difficult to describe but I want something that allows the spool to sit like the first photo.
Imagine the second photo my arm is under the spool and screwed to the wall/cupboard. Allowing the the large gear to sit over the front of the spool holder.
Does anyone know of such a spool holder...
I sorted it mate. A genius idea of just hooks. Works better than I could have expected.Big empty MIG wire spools with rear spacers and front handles etc make brilliant spools for lines , cables ,ribbons & extension leads etc .
The smaller ones are handy for using a s a handled spool to put builders line or architects Dacron line on or assorted Bonsai wiring wires on reels in a tote type carrier box/case. If you can't get a spindle through the reel center use a " long pig tough " with long bar rollers made of plastic tube & supporting mandrels /spacers to support each width of free rolling rollers.
Ask the welders on this site for empty ones ?
I dont hate it, just had adhesion problems with Matte stuff, their normal PETG is great.I just ordered 10kg of Sunlu petg various colours for £85 on an Amazon deal.
I know some of you don't get along with Sunlu but I use it exclusively on the Bambu and the Elegoo without problem.
No need for anyone to tell me you hate it, it is just a heads up for those who want to only pay £8.50 a kilo!

I guessed it was. My problem is I need to use 3 primary colours so I can print from one spool to next automatically with AMS. I guess you pay extra for the manual packing etc.Yes that was the deal I had.
