Fit the Mazda roof rack to the car. It was new old stock and luckily was complete.

However I had issues with the four rail clamping bolts. At first I thought they had been abused with an impact driver or so, but closer look, it was an aluminium like crud on the flats of the hex. Any ideas what would cause this? It took some effort of wobbling hex keys to finally get them to seat properly

It seems good quality with steel brackets, a big shaped rubber foot. Where as the aftermarket Summit type, the bracket is a nylon part with I think, a significant weakness where the rail mounts.

Well,the side stand snapped on my old Tenere. Resulting in a comical fall before I realised what was happening.

I thought I had some pipe I could use to sleeve it ,alas I did not. I did however have a stock for a Sten Gun,behold ! The Sten-stand!

Digging around the base of a water pipe on the outside of the cottage I was renting, about 30 years ago, I found about six pipes with an end on them just like that. "Oh, they'll be handy," I thought.
I used three of them to make a satellite dish mount, them being the hold-offs and the holey ends for the securing Rawlbolts to the wall.
Wasn't until just a couple of years ago I realised they were Mk 2 or 3 Sten stocks.

Mounted the bar on the Ms 361 I've restored months ago.
Installed the chain later in the evening.
Discovered no oil to the bar most likely clogged cause it oil spill out without.
Anyways this video made 18000 views from when I've uploaded and today

Wasps had most of our fruit this year. Apples, plums, figs all decimated.

Yes it was my first year of my new apple tree which produced very nice eating apples but wasps ate / destroyed most of them

Getting there slowly on building my Fixture table.

Top is just about welded up. Just the perimeter sections to do tomorrow and then I can make a start on building a base to put it on!

With another two narrowboats out on the hard ready for hull repairs I decided my poor old mechanics trolley needed some TLC to make it more comfortable on my back and neck after my injury earlier this year. Added some much larger casters and widened rear wheel spacing for better stability and utilised an old tip bound computer chair for comfort. Only trouble is it's so comfy I might spend more time asleep on it. Just need to add a welding rod holder and sorted.

Final pin spanner made today. As before, it was made from scrap, using a roll pin as the pin. It will be used to adjust the bearing pre-load collar on a smart and brown model L. The s&b is already getting more use than I had expected as my young kids are showing an interest in learning how to use a lathe, and I find the plain-turning collet lathe a simple and relatively safe machine for them to learn on.

The main hole was drilled 1.1/2" on my other lathe and then bored to 2" before being shaped on the band saw and milling machine.

Yes it looks too long but its about the length of the 19mm spanner I was using on the temporary bolt that this replaced

Not yet, I didn't tuned it properly yet.
But yes it is a pretty powerful saw for its displacement, I've always wanted one and seriously it took years to find it

Not a big of a deal for me honestly, I don't use it professionally, the bar installed is oversized for my needs anyways (63cm) and the dog came with wasn't big enough not even for a Ms170.
I have to admit that I've made a mistake when I've ordered them as they are supposed to be used on a Ms440 but only discovered that while installing them.
But they serve the main purpose of having a roller in between them so if the chain snaps or come off it should fly to much far.
It's a realistic thought cause it doesn't offer 100% safety against injuries in case this happen but it's an additional protection, the original chain catcher is still installed.

In Italy too it's not allowed to possess firearms parts or components without a license.
Especially machine guns components or melee weapons like bayonet those are not allowed even with a license.
Cause they are meant for combat.
