You might want to ask the price first Some people think they are expensive, some don't but...

Keyrings I do for £15 and slates £50 posted but if the same image is used on both then that reduces the costs a bit as I only have to edit/tweak the image once.

I am only interested in the quality. Good work isn't cheap And I can see how much work goes into them.

The only thing I see that may be a problem is the paws are a bit out of focus so not sure how well I can get them showing, will see when I get a chance.

Caliper for marking, made "from nothing"

A mediocre Chinese caliper, once purchased at a grocery store at the checkout counter, was “sold by weight.” Circular saw for metal, with broken teeth. The carbide soldering size is 1.7*5*2.4 mm.

Used the new die but the thread ripped out while backing off in the middle right where its most needed. Does not help that the steel nut was drilled oversize too, so should remake both. Die is not blunt it still cuts well. I cut it by hand in lathe but did back it off under power

What material did you make the threaded rod out of that ripped a thread when backing off ?
Certain Stainless steels cause problems.

606m36, free machining, sulphur makes it easy chipping and probably why. Not had problems with it before though.

First proper use of the new saw
The sawdust generator does indeed make lots of sawdust Suprised and happy this large lump of birch is not too rotten yet. I thought I should do something with it while I can... Got a few peices off it.

The Vevor mill bracketry has some major annoyances and will be modified before next use!
Chain needs a sharpen, with mill it wants to make powder but free hand still makes chips.

I may need a longer bar.

Was a bit over ambitious with the slitting saw and needed changing half way through to something a bit more substantial.



Threading the ally 14 x 1 just isn't going to work but I need the fine pitch, I will end up using steel but for a prototype these will be fine.

I welded the platform alone. height 3 m, platform 5.3*4.8 m. Pipe 80*80, 80*40, 40*40. Anchor bolts in concrete, footrests.. The project, metal cutting, climbing to heights - everything was done by himself. I'm waiting for a step to finish the staircase.

The work wouldnt be that expensive, but the engineered design and calculations to over engineer it and indemnify its safe would be loads…

Looks like an adjustable workstop.

Just got to drill the mount holes and shape around them for this wire guide
Hopefully given it enough plug weld to still hold after drilling.

On the money. have a couple of them, no idea why. Very handy when you need one though, I will get a proper pic. Meanwhile, the project itself:



It is the beginnings of a new product, maybe, possibly, I hope. Making a few prototypes to see what the machining issues are, I think the bottom bit that grips the bullet head is going to be a wire EDM job, a slitting saw is just going to be too much.
Today's project will be to make the conical extractor part to get the cartridge and wind it off the bullet.
