Will I get bored of turning brass? I have about 5 meters of it enjoy using the radius insert, cuts brass well without chatter

Another lock nut. I think I may be knurling these too hard as its giving a roughness between the points. I usually turn the tip of the points off so its not too sharp.

Last bit of machining for 2023, only got the top side done and still actually have to contour it, forgot to programme that Will then have to flip and mill the underside but that will have to wait until next year.

Then I will have to make the mating half.

It will be a replacement for the one my friend 3D printed for me, sadly the little latches have started to break on it.

Whipped the tails of my climbing prussiks as its a pita when things catch on them - usually the lanyard of my silky.
Also a wrench to carabiner, but I will redo that with a 13/19 one and other way so it sits better.

Unfortunately not....life and work has got in the way. I'll upload some photos of where I finished at the end of last year's build season which ended about April. Not been able to make any headway this winter on it........I'll get back to it eventually

Quick little job to knock up today, replacement filters. Mesh size unavailable as a standard part.
Dropped the tube off for drilling at the machinest just before Christmas, collected this morning.
Polished up, welded to the tri clamp blanks, and little handles to pull them out.

Today I made a very short right angle drill.

It's made from a cut down hole saw and a 6mm insert for clamping kitchen units together.
I retapped the insert 1/4 whit to suit my mini grinder.

It was to drill out a heat shield where the top of the bolt has rusted off, the other 3 broke off.
I drilled over the flange of the bolt and through the heat shield, so I could get the manifold and cat off.

I even managed to get all the broken hardened m6 bolts out.

With a couple of rads playing up, and sick and tired of not having a key for lock-shields, I turned a little used spoke key into something useful.

Mate of mine has just got a 22 watt output version .
I have yet to see how much better it is than his older 10 watt output.

You might want to ask the price first Some people think they are expensive, some don't but...

Keyrings I do for £15 and slates £50 posted but if the same image is used on both then that reduces the costs a bit as I only have to edit/tweak the image once.
