fantastic cut qualityI was asked to make some packers for the engine feet on a tug, the Ozzy company that makes the feet wanted £1200 plus £800 delivery for them supposedly.

You deserve a lathe!I made a new pivot pin for my uninsulated crimp terminals. With no lathe I found a bit of 7mm bar (an old T Bar from a tap wrench I think). Held in the drill chuck and the circlip grooves cut with a triangular file. Cut to length with a hacksaw held on the pillar drill table. Chamfered by file with the pin in the drill chuck. Blacked with a Sharpie. Redneck style!

The Jasic has impressed me.fantastic cut quality
Nah, £1999.99So...... £1900 all in then? Friends and family rate?
Nope, I know you just wouldn't.
I think a lot of it is to do with your torch and your table. a plasma arc is a plasma arc at the end of the day.The Jasic has impressed me.
Nah, £1999.99![]()
I thought that as well but I had the same table when I first got the Jasic and the difference between the TecArc with Trafimet and Jasic with Chinese PT100 was very noticeable. The pierce especially, the Tecarc took at least twice as long to pierce compared to the Jasic..... a plasma arc is a plasma arc at the end of the day.
Finished this off today. This's what's taken the spot where I had the chest freezer. Approx. 56" wide, 21" deep & 36' high, so not an overly large one.

Yup, you get that by slowing the feed rate down. Look at the drag lines.fantastic cut quality
Not sure what is normal as the Jasic doesn't really have much in the way of cut charts but the 10mm was cut at 900mm/min and the 6mm was at 2000mm/min.Yup, you get that by slowing the feed rate down. Look at the drag lines.
That's just the kind of cut's I get, you take the plasma chart and divide in half.
I'm not in a speed race, I want a part that is accurate so I don't need to do any grinding to fit and such.
"Off the table, and weld it together".
Yes, that sounds much like what I use.Not sure what is normal as the Jasic doesn't really have much in the way of cut charts but the 10mm was cut at 900mm/min and the 6mm was at 2000mm/min.
You're my ex-wife in another body.Have both, quite close too, but I am forbidden from entering any supermarket at the moment, I just buy everything in sight, my appetite is out of control.
that looks excellent ,love the perfect spacing of screws ,are you going to do a "back splash" ?Finished this off today. This's what's taken the spot where I had the chest freezer. Approx. 56" wide, 21" deep & 36' high, so not an overly large one.
