Finished making all the bits for my new T and C grinder wheels. I had to make a couple of new nuts to hold the wheels on the arbor, as the old one was clearly not right - looks like it was an old electrical conduit nut with a fit like a banana up Oxford St. A really odd size - ½” x 25 tpi, which of course I don’t have a tap for, so I had to make one from some EN24. Not really hard enough to make a tap, so that’s why I made the nuts from brass. Also 25 tpi is not quite the same as the 1mm pitch I can get on my metric lathe, but the difference is so small it works out ok.
And while I was at it I made some proper pin ‘spanner’s’ to tighten everything up properly.

Decided to chop my centre stand seeing as how I have lowered the AT.

I looked before I chopped and saw that shortening it by 30mm (the amount I lowered) the part you stand on would be right under the pillion peg so I would also have to lower that part, so 3 bits to shorten.

Used some cable ties to give me a line to scribe so it was easier to chop straight with the angle grinder.

Chopped all 3 sections out, cut up some 14mm stainless round bar and inserted that into the stand at the joints. One was close to the base so I bored a hole and plug welded in the stainless.

The others I notched out the tube so I could weld the stainless in place.

All done and stand looking dumpy

Fitted it and there is plenty room below the pillion peg to get my boot in.

The already shortened side stand just contacts the centre stand when fully retracted but I think it will be fine, if there are any issues it will be easy to tweak the centre stand to provide clearance.

Fitted a 12V/18V charger under the sanders bench, so that I can recharge batteries in the workshop, when I'm using tools in there.

Drank the cider, trimmed the modern stuff off the label, turned an oak stopper and shoved some usb led lights inside.

Checked out an aldi freezer pork joint at £3.79. It was alright, and enough left for butties in the week. My yorkies turned out well also

Back in the day,when I did them more frequently,I was told the reason the steel angle was so springy,was due to them being recycled tram rails?

Guy who’s got a blasting outfit here wanted a man making for his gate post. The body is an old clemco pot

I made the rest bar the nozzle and he’s blasted it.

Boat getting its MCA inspection and the current life raft that was fine a few years ago is now deemed too small so I had to make a new holder up.

Also made up 14 of these from 100mm acetal.

Loads of waste, this and a full sack of swarf.

They are for the ends of drainage pipes in a wall.
