I've been putting this off, as I've had so many other things on, and really worried it was going to be a nightmare and I'd mess it all up.
That table. Bending the 5mm flat bar round the tight curves.
I marked out the edges of the eight mill verticals, so at least I stood a chance of aligning the flat bar correctly, and put some tack welds in to hold it, then oxy acetylene, many clamps...
Really pleased with how the first bit came out, much more to do this afternoon.
Brother in law wanted to turn his 4 wheel podium tower into a 2-wheel one with 2 fixed feet, so I turned a couple of solid feet for him from 70mm ally bar.
Using some random bits.. I made a 'Tapper'
Black derlin at one end Brass the other, the body is stainless of some variety.
Nice weight to it, pleased with the results.
I made up the outer vent plate bits yesterday. Wanted to tig them but too wet out. Im tempted to silver braze as Im not sure how successful I will be tig 0.5mm stainless. Mesh is bent at 45 degrees to reduce air resistance.
Bored out the nuts I had stuck on sheet for welding bench levellers. I will get them stuck next time I have the tig out!
