Started on the parting block top clamp - are the radial lines cracks?
While I had bench grinder out, ground 2mm off the parting block so I can part closer to chuck.
Recently bought a Draper welding apron. It is highly flammable, just from grinding sparks. Ive never had my clothes catch before...
Ive been trippjng over this wood. Chopped a peice, light sand with DA, cut some V way grooves in the bottom to make a chuck sled, using the mini circular. It is a pain to do straight angled cuts as theres not enough blade in the cut to guide itself.
Filing the 45 degree down and still a long way to go for it to sit correctly - lesson learned, file and adjust before, tack, test fit.. weld.

Right, I am familiar with Jotamastic 87 and Hardtop. Jotamastic 87 (here in Au we have the 90 version now and it is an epoxy) the Hardtop is a urethane (non linear), two different paints. I have used both with the big Graco air operated and the small Titan 440 (now impact 440). I prefer to use a smaller tip size to what is recommended from the paint spec as it gives you better control / thickness. If you bump your hand against something without letting go the trigger you over apply the paint and it will slump. The disadvantage of using a smaller tip is that you have to increase the operating pressure to stop the tram lines, or you can add some thinners. The Titan 440 I have (have had it for over 15 years) is probably as small as you would want to go. If it is cold you also have to increase the operational pressure to stop tram lines. The 440 goes to about 3600psi and the last job I did I used every bit of that, the pump was working very hard and with 60liters of paint to push through, it tripped the breaker 3 times before i realised. All the electric sprayers have about the same max pressure setting so by getting a bigger machine (540 or 640) the pump / motor cycles less so should be less prone to tripping. The larger series (740 840 1040 1140) their displacement increases (pressure is the same) and you can run bigger tips and or more guns off the same pump.
Now with Graco probably start with the Ultra Max 495. There is a also a 595 these are the small displacement units similar to the smaller Titans, then there is the larger displacement pumps that start with 695. Again the operational max pressure is about 3300psi. So if you get not the smallest pump the electric motor will be larger and using a smaller tip the motor will be less stressed. All this depends upon how much you intend to do and at what pressure. The small Titan I have which is comprable with the Ultra Max II 495 will run all day at 2000psi doing water based paint. It is very much horses for courses. Hope that helps, just a note I do like the Gracos, slight preference over most anything else

Made up a simple trolly for use when collecting the drill press I bought a couple of days ago. Used some left over 25mm plywood, and a set of 3" casters I picked up for cheap not long ago. Also, I drilled out a bunch of golf balls for tool handle's; mostly files. Bought a bag full at a local charity shop for two Pounds. They are especially comfortable when used on chuck keys. Drill about 3/4 the way through the ball with a bit that is just slightly undersize for the tool application and just pound the ball on. There is enough grip internally to hold things in place. If you are going to try these, just be careful and wear safety glasses, as occasionally you may find a ball that has a liquid centre under pressure which can squirt out with some force. It's rare, but occasionally you may find one.

Found a small corner of wall space so knocked up a couple more tool holder holders, needed my shelf space back. Made these vertical to squeeze in there but prefer my horizontal setup. In an ideal world I should scrap it and start again. Not happening.
