Today I cleaned up the engine build bench in the mancave, gave the engine fixture/crane combo a coat of paint, also made a fixture for an engine.

Finishing off the spindle mount on a 5" bar of alu. I did try the brazed hex key tool from previous post, worked with lots of chatter, far too much stick out.

Lathe is not a good drill press but beats the cordless.

BS361C colour charts would be a common source of colours in the post-WW2 era. That's how we match paint on the early Jets etc.

I always thought of it as amglish, especially when I am putting gas in the car or getting new tires fitted

Also in the USA, when the 'Ring' in your 'Rear End' is causing problems, it's more likely to be a Crownwheel issue with the rear axle rather than the after effects from last night's Vindaloo from the Indian takeaway.
