Lovely, as ever...Well thankyou kind sir,
I was going to go crazy with steampunk crap but it was too busy and you'd have to be drunk anyway to read the hands

Do you mix the components dry and then add water or wet. If dry what about saving a bit of the mix to try as filler afterwards?
Nice railings all the same.Erected the first few of these today, then I get home and she tells me they should be galvanised.
She’d sent an e mail in December to confirm it,but it went in my junk box ,so never saw it.theres the same length run the other side, plus 2 more stair balustrades.
I’ll leave the one stair Jobbie told her it’s too much trouble refitting that one,I’ll cut the railings off at 2” above ground, weld spigots inside the posts to help align ,strengthen ,then weld after galvanised,250kg in total, hmmm .View attachment 293607View attachment 293608
I need a new chuck. Really should consider two piece jaws I suppose .New bearing end cap for something or other, was asked to make identical to another one out of stainless.

@Hood I'm now a soft jaw convert, lol
Or you may be able to buy two piece jaws for the chuck you have if it is reasonably good nick. Then again may be just as cheap buying one complete as the two part jaws are expensive to buy as additions.I need a new chuck. Really should consider two piece jaws I suppose .
I don’t know if anyone even makes an integral L00 chuck anymore.
That’s lovelyHere is one, not cheap though
first time I've ever used machinable soft jaws, I couldn't think of a better way to hold the workpiece... and now I'm thinking they'll get a lot more use now, lol. Also faster to swap the hard jaws around, just whizz the bolts off, tap the jaws off, wipe over and then bolt straight back up...I need a new chuck. Really should consider two piece jaws I suppose .
Aye, bargain price toofirst time I've ever used machinable soft jaws, I couldn't think of a better way to hold the workpiece... and now I'm thinking they'll get a lot more use now, lol. Hood did me a solid when he sold me this chuck, and I don't think I truly appreciated it!
Yep I Agee with the brick idea. I am retired and I like to test myself. A few bits of 304 stainless laying around and lots of time resulted in what you see.Bit of 3 x 2 and a half brick is what I use.
