Before the snow, another area cleared, new gravel barrowed through, and random slabs set in place, and levelled.

After snow, my 6’ x 4’ greenhouse finally built, half the bolts drilled through the slabs to stop it flying off in a wind, and just the shelving to build. I have the tube frame from my old poly greenhouse, so I will use that to build my shelves. The mound of junk to the right actually consists mainly of the greenhouse contents.

Just one question, I levelled the slabs prior to the bad weather, and it was still a good 3cm off when it came to building the greenhouse. So....was my level out, or does the Earth really suck.

Aha! Thanks, that's more info than I ever had on it! Lathes.co.uk didn't turn up any saws but a few lathes made or sold by Tyzack as 'Zyto'. Seems they rebadged a lot of other makers' kit.
Also found a history of the Tyzack empire, such as it was...

Knocked this up quickly. Sat firmly on top of the mig with rubber mat between the mig top and wooden base. Should keep the mig lid scratch and dent free

Finished the installation of a handrail I made last week, 20mm posts and 25mm round bar for the handrail. I’d have puit in more posts but that’s how the client wanted it.

did you level each side and then the diagonals ?

Made a tank not leak... hopefully.

Looked at the job just over a year ago. Manway leaking because of a distorted frame, and seals that keep coming away.

Cut out and replace with a new one whilst the line is on shutdown.

Inspected at every stage as it's a pressure vessel.

Think I did, but my main memory is of thinking “by eck, it’s cold”, while wondering why winters aren’t warmer.

I may have proven the old rule of what’s the difference between level, and flat. Or as a friend of mine puts it “a blind man wouldn’t notice it while running for a bus”.

i will say my son is quite picky when doing he job he was helping someone building an extension he was doing the back son was doing the front he was laying out the bricks as was taught bloke at the back was throwing them up
son finshed first as if you lay them out right levels and corners it reduces cutting and normal size bricks
he want round the back he in the end helped the other bloke doing cutting and leveling to go round a window and corner
when he come home he was saying if you lay them right is faster he was asked to go back the next week but he made his excuses

Bought a cheap GoPro type camera off Amazon which arrived yesterday so set it up in a tree outside.
Quite happy with the first bit of footage, snippet below, shame the idiot bird sat the far side

The were were other visitors on the same half hour clip, including Blue and Great tits who were not as camera shy!
Pretty good quality for a £20 camera I thought.

Many cockups were made
The copper connectors I made for mig years ago, bored them out for thicker cable for the induction board, not remembering that they were a bit thin where it reduces, 0.5mm wall wont be much good. Also snapped my 3mm hss boring bar.
Made some more sockets, test fit got properly stuck.

Turned down some brass bspt hose fittings, holding by the hex in collet chuck.

The second chromed bspp pair were a pain, not concentric with the hex or the thread. Got covered in chrome brass dust too. Holding by the hex one jumped but no damage. Did the second held by the thread, with a spacer in the collet, even so that off sideways aswell and took a big chunk out of my new pcd insert
