I'm on a roll today, got the adaptor done as per the post earlier, so onward & upwards with the light-box.
At this point I have to give a BIG shout to @eSCHEnwho went above and beyond and without whose help I'd never got this finished, due to my complete inability to solder or decipher the wiring instructions which came with the switch.

Here are a couple of pics of the completed thing - difficult to photograph well because of the high contrast but hopefully you'll get the idea. I'm very happy with it.

You'd like my bandsaw thenNo idea of make, I bought it in about 2004 from a factory in Leicester that made shop displays for the likes of Nokia. They bought it secondhand when the company started in 1972 but could no longer get it past the safety nazis so it went on ebay. I stuck a daft bid in and got the beast. The motor was a massive 3-phase thing that I couldn't use, easily 3HP. It's as tall as me at 5' 8" and the table alone weighs 25Kg. The frame is a one-piece iron casting, it takes nine foot blades up to 1" wide and runs on for 30 seconds after you remove power...
