Silicon bronze, 1.6mm filler I got from ebay a long time back

Supposed to be done on DC, but the arc is too focused, and the puddle is scummy. The cleaning action seems to help a lot, as well as the natural rounding of the tungsten.
I'd say a blunt tungsten on DC pulse would work just as well, if the metal was spotless.

Only tried it once and can't remember the settings I used, came out reasonably good for a first attempt.

I finally got this power supply communicating and programmed, the problem was a bad CAN chip. New one today didnt work at the claimed 3.3v so I added a resistor divider to use 5v, now works. I cut the trace and put an 0603 smd resistor on the RX pin. I forgot how small these are!

Cross link the CAN drop a diode in the mod and upload a DX3 resistor and you will create a planet with that.

Well, its far better at welding than I am! Not done much yet but already getting on really well with it and the reduction in spatter is very noticeable - it does have magical spatter reducing fairies inside it besides induction and burn-back control, etc. I'd really like to see a professional welder have a shot and see what it can do.

Today I designed and printed out a temperature control panel for my magnetic heated stirrer - not much room so projecting and offset. Couldn't decide on the Pink or Lime Green filament

I made a WWGW happy.
Been a long haul trying to get his turret working with the new SZGH control he has put on his lathe, almost 2 weeks of every evening on WhatsApp getting him to try different things and altering bits in the macro for him to load and try.
The macro he got from SZGH should have worked, I even made a spreadsheet to make sure it was doing what it was meant to, and it was. For some reason we just couldn't get it working, it would go to the wrong position and error, sometimes would just unclamp then clamp then error etc etc so in the end I decided to write a new macro and use absolute positioning rather than the incremental that SZGH had used.
Tonight it is running at the proper speed and positioning correctly. I will likely tighten up on some of the dwells in the code so that it clamps a bit faster after positioning but for now it seems to be ok.

What's that a tool head?

A VDI turret, so yes basically just a tool head.
Similar to the one I made for my lathe, the tools are in holders and can be quickly clamped into the turret plate.
