A friend was in need of new lights. The old ones the glass shades had cracked. Replacements are available. But she wanted something different.
So for a bet she challenge me to make a set for under £5.
So a rummage and a hunt found me a lot of stuff.
I won the bet.

But this loaf was made with some yeast from a friends Home brew.
Very nice it is.
WW1 error shell case, still trying to find from what, but it is not British.
A bit of work with Brasso and wire wool, then cotton rags.
Plus this small, quick restoration.
The hammer itself was nothing special. But the shaft is a odd designe.
I have tried it out and it is a nice tack hammer.

This was a tool box and tools I got the other day.
As Is aid, the tools are a mix of good ones and Christmas crackers tools.
The tool box is in the stage of being restored/saved etc. Even through it is ply wood. The construction is very good.
Worth saving.
Off all those tools. The above is all that were worth saving. The rest are in the scrap pile.
Most of the wooden handle tools had worm, the files were blunt, the drills had been over heated.

Yesterday, cleaned up my latest purchase and took some test cuts. Adapted a tray to work as coolant reservoir but it didn't work... needs to be way deeper.
It's fairly worn... suppose anyone who knew lathes at all could have told me that by one glance at the missing gap plug
Looking at rebuild options now. It's such a great capacity and mechanically in great nick, that I kinda want to give it to someone and throw money at them until it comes back and cuts like new.

Already talked to them... their full service costs way more than its worth. Talking to someone on this forum about them maybe doing the work and BD doing the grinding, though
