I made a schrader to M5 adaptor and drilled my chinese and gf3 spray guns.

I tried holding hex bar in an er collet, works perfectly and saved me swapping the chuck. Thanks @doubleboost ! Learned that from one of your videos about a month ago.

Having woken up this morning to rain, I decided to have a mostly lazy day, but since I managed to get all my accounts up to date, I decided to build this -

OH has gone vanting her galli so I've made four evening meals for next week. Pasta in a spag bol sauce with a goodly amount of red wine and extra veggies, and half a dozen boiled eggs for snacks:






An hour's work on a Sunday means I'm guaranteed to get a decent meal at night. Park up and put a portion in the microwave while doing the paperwork, job done

Made my first swarf on the Smart and Brown. Really pleased with the little beast

Quick test Im quite happy with it. If only I could find my M5 grub screw for the top bolt, no clearance for the paint cup!

Cut up some 5mm aluminium on the plasma.

Welded and bolted it together and gave it a quick polish. I am not liking the polish so will probably give it a coat of satin black or charcoal grey at some point (or probably won't knowing me )

It is, I do not have guards on the 4 1/2" grinders that are solely for flap discs. Cutting discs then I have the guards on.

You can do damage to flesh with a flap disc - well I can, even with thin gloves on. The glove didn't like it either.

Gloves are something I never wear when using grinders, I personally do not think I get enough grip of them when wearing gloves. The only thing I wear gloves for is when welding and if I grab the grinder the glove comes off. Everyone to their own

It's just a cradle/stand for the phone, rather than me just plonking the phone down in the first spot to hand.

Made up a motorbike front wheel rack for transport inside my van. Was going to weld one up, but couldn't acquire the correct size channel; so as I'm expecting delivery soon, I fabbed it out of wood which should be fine for the time being.

If I have to use someone else's 4 1/2"grinder because I have forgotten mine then I will leave the guard on but find it a PITA but would rather that than have the owner use it and do damage to themselves. I will however not forget my own the next day and if they use mine and do damage then tuff

Just to clarify this is 4 1/2" grinder with a flap disc. I use a guard with a cutting disc, well most of the time as I must admit I have once or twice used it without for small cuts but I do not like doing so and avoid if possible.

Just quickly knocked this up out of left over battens and cladding offcuts from the garage.

Not made... more bodged.

In a moment of buffoonery I managed to knock my FEMI bandaw off the bench and broke its most critical component;

The bargain Sherman TIG206P meant that I could have a go at bodging a fix (alas my beloved Lorch MicorTIG is DC) before I can get hold oc a replacement part. Its about 1deg out vertically as I put way too much filler and heat into it but I'm hoping some filing and washers might fix that. A messy weld and got heaps contamination but its made a few cuts and held!

Got some more done on flat tracker tail #2. A bit more trimming and it’ll be ready to weld together.
