No a potential Norbert knocked off a AVO7X I was fixing and broke it to a point it can not be repaired.

I have placed my thumb where a thumb should not be poked.

Black Bakelite? The devil's own plastic (although IIRC it was accidentally invented during development of a treatment for rubber)...

No, it was out the case as I was repairing the balance resistors. The damaged was to the needle assembly.

Got a bit more done on the boat trailer today, the chunks of 12" channel from the cutnshut went into the back of the uprights as reinforcements. Only tacking up at the moment.

y and a piece of Aluminium from @Jacktegla which he wipped from a skip.
Got a few more to make as gifts for people that have helped me with my bees. Just need to find more roof covering - cheap!

Given an un restricted root run it will grow like a weed.

Good luck Nick, I’ve been trying to grow them for years without success, I’ve currently got four on the go, if you have any tips please share!

I don't know why you can not grow them given your local climate, I planted one in our London garden I think the variety was Brown Turkey, I dug out a pit and lined it with concrete slabs in a futile attempt to restrict the roots and plant size. Within ten years it had a eight inch diameter trunk and was over twelve foot tall. Within twenty years it was a monster despite heavy pruning and had to be taken out which was a shame as the fruit tasted lovely and were about the size of a cricket ball, though the wasps liked any that got over ripe, I don't miss the wasps.

A year after I had felled the fig tree I found a bit of root that had formed a new plant and potted it up, that was four years ago. The new plant is in a smallish pot of around twelve inch diameter, is about six feet tall and has born fruit these last two years.

It’s in the middle of a field,50m from the workshop,so not going to be a problem.

Nuc is a "Nucleus" of bees which is basically a small or temporary hive. Used if you have an issue with a full size hive and you need to split bees or for storage of a swarm. Not used for the production of honey, just the development of bees.

Edit I get it now. I can also see youve just folded the corners if the aluminium.
