Needed to calm down after a friend caused an "incident."
So I found this lump of wood in the bag of fire wood. Too good to burn.

I let the grain tell me where to draw the lines.

The knot looks like an eye, the shape reminds me of "Glove" from the Yellow Submarine movie.

The Horse head is drinking teak oil like it is going out of fashion.
No. I don't know what I will do with them, yet.
But it was fun making them.
If you need any work doing on bonsai trees my mate is a 4'9" lumber jack and dor years we have been saying he should branch into bonsai..Today I tried to make this Abies look more like a Bonsai!!

Coated in a paste of Citric acid, distilled water and a few drops of liquid soap.
This ensures the rust in the pits and the casting flaws gets treated.
What I can find out this model is at least 60 to 100 years old, casting floors would be frowned at the final finish, my coffee fuelled plan was taking shape.
