Please Sir, Me Me I know.^^ For?![]()
Well done I could have modified the original but I couldn't butcher a 100 year old partPlease Sir, Me Me I know.
It is a drive dog for his Drummond's spindle to drive the first change wheel, the bump on the side is a magnet triggers the tachometer posted a couple of weeks ago.
After finding out that the magnet that was working perfectly fine before I mounted it properly had lost its magnetism and I didn't have one the same size I've made mk2 I could of just put the new magnet on the old one but I would no it was a bodge as the new magnet is thicker and smaller than the old one you can see the fit and finish is also a bit nicer than the firstThis

It had lost its magnitism it wouldn't even stick to a pice of steel so I replaced it with a 8mm-6mm neodymium magnetYou shouldn't have welded it on
On a serious note, has it actually lost its magnetism, or does it just trigger the sensor now?
I had a sensor that triggered with the magnet on one way but not with the opposite polarity![]()
You may have a long wait because if I can't get the time to get it done in the next week or two this will be taking up my time.I’m watching you with great interest mr hood!
A Cheetah?
Very nice what engines are going on it?
Yes, one of the very latest designed ones, think it is only the second one to come out of the mould.
I believe it is Yamaha 130's going on that one.
Aye getting to be quite a few here now, Arbroath has 6 and supposedly at least another 3 considering getting one and then up at Montrose there are 4 and the one above will be the 5th but one of them will be getting sold so if you want I can pass on your addressIf you get any more Cheetahs up there Hood I think you should rename it to "The Savannah".
Yes they are commercial and yes the skippers/owners claim back the duty which is a substantial amount.I assume for commercial use - do you - or the people using it - claim back the duty on the petrol? Well worth doing.
