More likely to lowTool set too high maybe?
I had checked and thought they were spot on centre - compromised sight means that either of the above could have been the case. Having drilled the centre bore, it was difficult to be sure without removing the work-piece and check with a 'pointy thing'.![]()
Do you not nip a steel rule between the work and the tip of the cutting tool? If it's vertical, the tip's on centre, if it's leaning towards the work it's high, away it's low, quick way to get pretty damn close!
