For those who are interested, this Icons Kit does contain new pattern bricks.
Be careful, as the new lego bricks do not grip as well as the old school ones. So they can fll apart as you assemble them.

That is now, I'm referring to back then, when Hoover would probably hold you over a barrel for a new key.
It would make sense to have a default setting for when the key is lost.
You got a replacement from the E Bay of the day, AKA the little book of mail order tat that came with the Sunday papers.
One big slipper for both feet, a knitted doll thing for hiding your spare bog roll, a crap memorial plate, a curly hose, a thing for chopping onions and a new Keymatic key.
Fill in the form, send off with your postal order for £2.87, and a stamped adressed envelope, wait 7 weeks and prepare for disappointment.

Internet/connection speeds are another point like that. When you see someone saying we only get such & such a speed. I can remember leaving the dialup running overnight for a 50mb file, years ago. Now that's less than a minute to download.

Oh what fun when some eejit attached a huge file to an email, without asking.
I rapidly found a utility to query the mail server and ditch emails like that before downloading.

The days when you could watch an image download onto the screen almost line by line
Even broadband has improved, if I had a load of images to upload to the cloud I used to set the upload going before turning in for the night when I was on the copper pair, now with fibre to the house the same takes about 30 minutes.
