I completely see where you're coming from. The issue I have with it is that as soon as I start selling stuff, I'll start thinking "what can I make that will sell well", rather than "what will I enjoy making". I don't want to make that transition.I see no issue with anyone profiting from their skill and ability whether it's a hobby or not after all tools and materials aren't cheap.
Designing electronics pays the bills; the hobby is down time & I want it to stay that way.
