Sorry been busy. Ours is Soham where I live. Think there are several in Cambridgeshire ( they help out with insurance, PAT tester etc. I spotted it on village face book and contacted them to offer help.
We are holding one on 19th October so I can ask organiser if you've not found.

Actually googled " repair cafe in Shelford cambs." And there's a link to a green" site that might find you a local one.
I quite enjoy ig due to range of items and visitors. Lots of older people with older things that can be fixed !

Since then I've also done the tailgate
To clarify, I removed all the paint with a 24 grit fiber wheel after this, then I coated it with phosphoric acid and wrapped the tailgate with plastic wrap for a few hours before neutralizing and epoxy painting it.

Was difficult to start, read impossible. Some diagnosing and duff ignition coil. Called in at local dealer and got horrified at the price of a new one £120+VAT but they'd do it for £95+VAT for me.
Quick phone call to @8ob and he said the Sthil ones don't last that long in backpack blowers, just get a Chinese one. So one Amazon Prime delivery later and started on the first pull of the handle.
Damn sight easier than last year with a tractor carrying a generator and extension lead and a mains blower.

I no longer have a 2 part generator- frame and engine separate from each other, as I’ve added new rubber mountings on my ‘bargain’ Pramac 3250 generator. It reminded me how easy it can be to work on commercial stuff.

Fixed some shelves into another locker for Mrs Robo to use at the stables.
Re-plumbed this leaning stanchion,the mounting plate bolted to the weir had partially bent and tore a thunderbolt out,the top linking rod had also bent,all caused by a large tree strike.
The installation was part of the infrastructure of a hydroelectric turbine,installed in 2013, I’d made the riverbank steelwork,most of which is out of sight. Sadly the cooperative that financed it only broke even,contributed by the turbine supplier going broke,plus several damaging floods.

mot passed this morning. no problems.
shame they only test there once a week, made the timeline rather tight....
Been putting it off all summer after how hard it was working on other bits of it but turns out it took me less than 30m to remove 
So I proceeded to fix the sticking diverter valve sliding rod with the drill and some 1200 grit.
Though don't think 1200 grit will fix the diaphragm or orings
It's £50 for a new diaphragm and £30 for a couple of orings!

Done plenty other bits on it but was a constant nightmare of smashing knuckles and dropping spanners down the back so ignored it all summer to work on bob (skid steer) instead as more funLeast you've made a start on it.
Finally worked up the energy to fix my Boxford gear lever- it’s only been broken for as long as had the lathe, waiting on a small piece of brass - which one of the members on here kindly donated a few weeks ago. No more messing around with screwdrivers to change gear- it feels like it’s almost Christmas 
Fixed my lawnmower today.
It started with a new knive that rubbed on a plate (here the plate is already removed) the old one was pretty much used.

It vibrates a little, should one check for imbalance on a new knive? I used to do this when sharpening, but this knive also has the wingtips so is heavier.

If it vibrates, yes.
Got the boiler all back together and began testing, lovely hot tap water but now the central heating side wasn't working... Spent 3 hours troubleshooting only to realise I had forgotten the diaphragm return spring on the worktop behind me
At least it's all working now and I've spent that long working on it I can remove/install bits of it now with my eyes closed
