Had a courtesy Merc E-Class AMG (for a 15yr old Caterham after a non-fault accident – work that one out!) – get that sliding, get the corrective/controlling lock on . . . and the computers threw a fit, trying to get it straight, meaning the steering was now pointing the wrong way – never found a way to turn it off – must be programmed for steering wheel holders, not drivers.
