Rust.
With more rust.
It was an 4 chain adjustable lift kit.

The date on all the parts was 2022.
The main shackle was seized, but a bit of warm oil had it turning.

Theses parts just needed a bit of oil.

Heat was used to burn the rust off.

......fixed a couple of teenie weenie plastic locating dowels off the back of the front fairing, off my recently acquired Africa twin. The attempted fix with superglue by previous owner never lasted, these things. Ive replaced quite a few over the years on various bikes.

Fixed this locknife fo a mate. The spring that tensions the locking lever had broken.
Made a new spacer from Ali drilled and staked a piece of spring wire in. Reassembled all working as it should.

@qwakers get rid of those long bolt tails, they can cause a new parting, ask how I know

i will on the other hand rotate them so they are horizontal....

Hot water tank has been getting too hot, so I checked the thermostat. It's closed at all temperatures.

A new one is due to be delivered before 6 today. In the mean time.

Better late than never, just arrived. Back to being Scrooge with the hot water.

The Dishwasher, she gave off for a few weeks there so I decided to take it apart today and spotted a corroded and burnt wire.



There was a cold solder joint on the board also so I think this created resistance along with the corrosion.



Re soldered the board, cleaned the pins thoroughly and attached new wires and its working away happily again.
