They are actually very easy to work on but they do like throwing up issues. Being 20+ years old I suppose its not surprising. I'm in the process of putting a Turbo on my sons 1.8 NB which is truly an exercise in spacial engineering as there is not a lot of room to put everything in properly with clearance to allow for engine movement.

Good regular maintenance is the key. I can now do an engine change with my eyes closed

Its a car I've always wanted but never managed to buy!

It kind of would but would give a weld with excess carbon and grain growth.

Nitrogen would be the best alternative.

Unfortunately I use a twin regulator, so I've only got one bottle

I think the carbon dioxide, plus however much water vapour is in exhaust, would probably make it worse than no back purge.

Well, I bodged up the steady on the corner of Jo's caravan. Forgot to take a pic of everything assembled but here's the before pic and shot of the bracket I made. Sorry about the picture quality:

The steady pushes up on the cross bar and the angles on the end spread the load along the caravan walls.

Daughter came through the gates at home, listening to her phone, with head phones.

Puppy jumped up and snapped the plug off, in the phone.

It was broken off a couple of mm's down the hole.

Started off with my finest fine nosed pliers, nope.

Ground them down on the bench grinder, and after a bit of fiddling dug it out, in two bits.

Lottery ticket tomorrow me thinks.

This morning I started on fixing it.

Fixed the body work.

The Axils and wheels needed to be put right. and the treads needed sorting.

A good wash, I think the Head lights may need more work.

Thern a good wax and polish.

A small human is now making it go vroom vroom.

Of road.
Of bthe bed.
Of the sofa.
Of the dog.

But do I tell Mum, that small human was making fire this morning with flint and steel.


Or wait until it is wine o clock for her?
