That bare timber is new replacement. What tool did you use to cut to clean timber on that frame, I have a similar job to tackle andI only have a standard circular saw ?
It was. Halfway through a bend it would suddenly/reluctantly drop over into the next ‘spline’ and it‘d feel like the front tyre had washed out, which was very alarming, and that was just gentle riding. Once I had loosened up the top nuts it felt 50 x better, but it juddered over bumps, like it was too loose. So, apart it came.Must have been like driving a thruppenny bit
as most of the panels are either stupidly expensive second hand or NLA ive been plastic welding and reinforcing the very brittle 21 year old plastics on the tt600...
might not be much better than a bodge, but its a technique I've used many times to good effect where fibreglass simply wont stick for whatever reason....
Oscillating multitools with swan necked saw blades are brilliant for making clean right angled plunge cuts. If you get one , get hold of several new plunge blades as they aren't too keen on cutting through high tensile screws or masonry pins .What tool did you use to cut to clean timber on that frame, I have a similar job to tackle andI only have a standard circular saw ?
