Works cars with 230bhp with the 2 valve engine - many sensible road cars with way more than that now.

Absolutely and I have had a couple of them but this thing is blisteringly quick with what can only be described as vicious acceleration. I get that "Pondy" had more than one car, the 70's was my time rallying and I certainly destroyed had more than one car myself. I had to give up as I couldn't afford to keep up with the panel damage. It's what happens when you are "enthusiastic".

This year I've received; Poirot puzzle book, model drill, polo shirt, boot bag (not pictured) and a present to myself a 009 scale Baguley-Drewry loco for the micro layout I'm working on. This should stay upright on my tight radius curves being 0-4-0 as the loco I waited for over a year to become available which is 0-4-2 falls over.

I was doing quite a bit of research into micro layouts earlier in the year after seeing an article on T guage, but managed to resist the temptation
There was a guy in our club who specialised in unusual layouts like Z guage on a folding rule or N guage in a violin case.

A great haul! -

pair of parallels (used but good), 5 tenths mercer dial gauge (used like new), a soap dish so I don’t keep using Mrs Waddycalls facial soaps where I shouldn’t, some merino wool socks (won’t wear anything else) and a soft shell jacket.

As we’re on holiday we’ve brought / bought one gift each. I have one for the wife, she has one for the boy and he has one for me, all to be opened before heading to the pool tomorrow

And theres me also blessed with a helly kitty hat that has bobbles dangling down that when you squeeze them wiggles the ears, which terrifies our youngest labrador , a golden neko cat, battery heated thermal underwear for working outside in the unheated barn in, and a lego cat cleaning itself, and a pair of lego sheep playing leapfrog for my office display cabinet. I think they fit right in with my cute bear collectables.

Daughter was given this by 1 of her teammates, he made it on his 3d printer
