I'll never do another build of this magnitude... i did think about a cafe racer style bike, but i dont have a licence so whats the point.... IF... (and its a big IF) i ever get the urge again it'll probably be a buggy of some sort for the boy...
Alright folks..... Well... photobucket seems to have ruined most people's blogs .. Ain' done much as I've been enjoying summer with the family... however... we'e currently at this point..
Looks so good I wouldn't want to drive it on anything other than bright sunny days. Well done davenport.
This project inspired just about everything Ive tried and the results you have achieved are stunning. so well done! it is really ashame what photobucket did.....I have such a low opinion of them!...... If you have any more pics that you can repost from another source, Im sure we would love to see them...especially those I missed after the photobucket drama..... JP
Spent the morning tidying up/securing the harness in the engine bay .. a LOT of work trying ideas and attempting to keep it neat and reuse factory clips where possible... we'e getting close now...
Bit of a thread resurrection... had a request for updates on a Dutch peugeot forum so have copied my reply straight over to here... Hi there... Apologies... things have been busy with life.. moving + renovating home.. my family.. Work.. I have still been chipping away with this though.. Had some custom hoses made up from Samco.. Bought a 'proper' bonnet and fitted aero catches.. I also had to trim out some of the ribs for clearance.. Lovely paint!!! Also made a tank cover with some cool 1/4 turn fixings.. And after a bit of setting up on the laptop... This happened.. https://i.imgur.com/1n0ksKv.gifv https://i.imgur.com/VMgLLJg.gifv Apologies for the lack of updates on forums.. I find most stuff just gets thrown straight onto instagram these days... I'm on there as.. SLAMMED106 Hope you guys+girls are all good ...
Thank you for the update. It is looking and sounding very nice. How long until its first track outing?
Thanks... it still needs a good mapping session though... I've got no idea about track exploits.. it was never built as a track toy, I do plan on doing some European tours with it eventually so maybe A stop off at the ring or Spa... I got asked to exhibit at the NEC mid Nov but my priorities are with the renovations (And it's the same weekend as my son's birthday) so the initial.plan is to get some shows done next year while it's still clean and go from there once it's collected a few stone chips...
yes, thanks for updating here...not all of us are involved in social media....great to see the progress...so well done! JP
Bare with me.. still trying to get into a groove with imgur after photobucket demise.. Got the boy helping me out for pre flight checks..
Very niceprojekt! I have done a few nut and bolt restorations at the garage i do work for, mainly e30 bmw with e46 m3 engine swapps and turbo charged straight 6 lumps with over 1000bhp at the wheels... Or v8 7 series swapped into small 4 wheel drive e30 sheels... Yours looks very good!
