Are you kidding ?

Here's my show & tell for the day. There were only a couple of tiny nicks on the vice which I touched up with a file, and then painted it with my diminishing supply of "One Shot" sign painters paint. The metal label was removed as I don't like anything distracting. This is a good tool, and am glad the vice was treated very well by its previous
owner; and cheers to who ever it was.

best vise
well spotted, but can we take it you fix it nearer the edge of the bench when in use?

Yes, but if i move it forward I would only have one bolt securing it down as it is the edge of an old door, hard to describe without seeing it.its set back to far if its already bolted downu need the back jaw of the vice slightly overhanging the bench so long ish materials will fit up in to the vice

Right, I went back up the shed and realised if I moved the vice to the middle of my door bench top I could move it forward into the correct position, I even found the original bolts dad had it mounted with, see image, thank you guys for the kick up the a**e to do things properlyYes, but if i move it forward I would only have one bolt securing it down as it is the edge of an old door, hard to describe without seeing it.
