Ha... I has such struggles at the start with the line slipping in the tool. But got sorted....I find half the job is remembering to put the unions onto the tube before flaring the ends
That looks like a lot of work!
I had an FTO up until 2005. Great car, but always regretted that it was a GR and not a GPX.
Also had a 1990 GTO (imported 3000GT) in Ferrari red - that was a hilarious bit of kit. Probably still the fastest car I've ever owned
Oh no... One of mine the longer one was corroded and has broken in half on a bend but fingers crossed I can figure it out.Nice job on the brake lines, the first time i did some i pulled the lines off mangling them in the process leaving me no template to make the new ones the finished lines looked crap
Any photos of the affected area?Need some help
Does anyone have any experience with repairing rear chasis legs.
Are these usually one hollow part that I can cut out the rust and then weld back in a patch?
What sort of thickness is this material usually?
@Dcal @Myles1970 @Pigeon_Droppings2 anyone??
Eh...noNeed some help

I don't think so, just from following Hanabusa's ae86 restoration they seem to be made up of channel within top-hat sections, so double-skinned in places.Are these usually one hollow part that I can cut out the rust and then weld back in a patch?
Ohh I thought it would be thicker as it was a chasic components so that's good news.Any photos of the affected area?
Depends what the chassis is doing (suspension or just holding the bumper) 1 or 1.2mm is normal enough but some times it's double skinned in certain areas.
No worries.Eh...no

Have either of ye found somewhere that sells 1.2mm sheet?
They look crusty and I suspect they are worse than you think.@Dcal here's the pics of the chasis legs.
I sprayed them back in the day with rust inhibitor so I could see them both at a later date.
