The suds tank has been fitted and filled with 5% Shell Coolledge in water. Pump works fine apart from those cheap blue flexible hoses leaking at the joint.
Having thought about the problem of putting wheels on the saw to move it out of the way or to accomodate long pieces of work I eventually decided to modify an idea that Madkayaker posted regarding bolting it to a pallet and using a pallet truck
I thought I would build a frame to bolt it to that did the same, give me some welding practise too as I haven't done much since building the GFs sewing table and I was making a bit of progress.
Here's the frame, my pa is in the background, I'm keeping him out of trouble by getting him to paint it The frame has a mixture of good and very bad welds however its sufficently over engineered for the good to make up for the bad
The saw will sit on the 50mm box using the tabs to bolt it down, the 25mm box just keeps the front square as there is only one bolt hole on the saw at the front. It should give 100mm ground clearance and I believe pallet trucks go down to 80mm. I've made the frame just over 100mm wider than the existing base to give it a bit more lateral stability.
Cheers
Andy
