That's exactly why the rules are written . . . fall at home, it's your look out. At work, it's not. Nothing at work is worth the risk, however small, of getting injured, or worse - certainly for your family (usuallyMy take is that I wouldn't take a risk at work that I wouldn't take at home.
So if I was prepared to wobble on a ladder, work on live electrics etc. at home and some task could be completed by doing the same at work, I'd be happy to sign a disclaimer saying yes, I know, p*** off and let me get on with it.
