I know a lad who fits "floor safes".

He uses - chicken wire - fibre reinforced concrete and "anti drill quarzt" as ballast.

He reckons "high wear pourable self leveling - with fibres" is the hardest to get out!

IMG_20201121_182628_703.jpg I'll compare the prices of rebar and fibre reinforcement. And see if I can afford both.

Nearly half the floor is nearly perfectly level.

The x tons of sand I put on the hard-core has become very solid after it flooded last winter. IMG_20201121_203034_104.jpg IMG_20201121_203153_690.jpg

The next half of the floor is well too high, I'm digging out the congealed sand with a pick axe in places.

Up to two inches too high in places. Well at least the low points will get filled.

Found this Salamander. Second one I've found in four years here.

Those photos came out in the wrong order.

Check and check again that you have no more cables needing to cross that floor. When we laid the floor for my tractor shed I incorporated a run of 110 mm underground drain pipe with swept bends at the ends to give me a conduit for future changes, and yes I’ve already used it!
