Thanks for that all relevant points...All I wont poo poo your idea but here in the uk it is specced that you have 50mm cover over and under rebar , so if you had 10mm bar that woud give you 110mm in an ideal world . I see you said you have 100mm of "leveling sand" over hardcore , normal practice would be approx 10 to 20mm max as it will continue to compress and possibly filter between the hardcore so you end up with a void . just throwing it out there but bamboo probably has great elastic properties , gives alot without shearing /snapping because of its fiberous properties , so good for scaffold and alikes but disposable , and may rot depending on climate / moisture .
on a slightly different tangent , foot grade , ie domestic is specced at 100mm and garages 150mm with reinforcing , so even if you arent putting cars on it , as you said you are adding very high localised loading with 1.5 ton machines . for what it costs , aprox £20 a sheet or euro equivelent i would almost say just by some re-mesh , plus your hours of tying all that bamboo and assuming its bouyant nature , you would have to pour a very dry ish mix or it will all float to the top of the floor as the air pockets within the bamboo will act like air bags and rise up in a nice grided anti-slip pattern lol .
not trying to put you off , just trying to save your concrete value
cheers
There are issues with elasticity, and binding to it...
