Thanks for that. Been wiring in the lights today. Got decent waterproof connectors etc which makes a nice job of it. Will give it a try on the vehicle tomorrow if it's not P'ing it down !!
Should be taking it to the powder coaters tomorrow. Been away a lot and working on someone else's truck.
Busy boy. Plus my rear diff has come so I have to get cracking on that as well.
FF
bout time. lol
which p/c you taking it to.
you seen that landy nicked thread, old tupton way. barstools. when we going shootin pal?
you been up scotland stalking while you was 'away'?
No, not seen that. Will have a look. The first coater on the list seemed to have a duff phone number. Looked 'em up on t'intyweb, but no dice. Going with the one on Carwood Road. Sounded very helpful.
Not been shooting buddy - just way too busy. Got loads on at work and just can't get free of it. Once the LandCruiser is back together, we'll have to sort out some of those damn Wood Chickens.
Dropped bumper off today. Turns out I know the guy, went to same school and he lives about half a mile away. Going to bring it on his way home tomorrow.
£50. Zinc coated and then double powder coated to get rid of any 'imperfections'.
Well here it is back from being coated. Now I've said it before and I'll say it again, but to say I have been welding about 6 months, I don't think that this looks half bad. I'm pretty pleased with it. I can only aspire to the levels that I see on here, but everyone is a beginner at some point.
Eternally grateful to everyone for their posts. Great community.
Get it fitted tomorrow. Don't forget to drop by for a cuppa, Scotty!
That is very nice, good job, I was looking at an ARB front bumber for my nissan patrol, but after looking at what you did i my have a go myself and if it turns out half as good as yours i will be pleased
I( hadn't noticed you're a yellow diamond owner! Personally I'm a pocuk member, but nice to see there are others out there!
Good work you've done there, I'd be proud if it was my work!
It's 2mm. Having the main profile pressed, it is pretty substantial.
This is what it looked like once I had done all the electrickery.
My front bumper - current project is made out of 3mm. Still a lot of trimming to do and all sorts of mounting points but this is what it looks like at the present.
