Probably not going to galv it. It's not that crucial. I don't want it in the threads, etc, besides I have used a little body filler in a couple of places which wouldn't go through the galv process.

Coating would be good enough. I may drop by and have a chat with them. It could save me a right load of grief.

Latest update. Got the lights in. Need to get it primed and painted really. Although a couple of weldy bits to do yet. Just don't want it to get rusty.

May not PC it now. I understand that it's actually porous as a coating. Best to use it as a finish coat, but I can't galv it now as there is some filler in there. Probaly etch prime and then use a smooth metal paint over the top.

Looking at HL rec points, but I don't have a HL Jack and actually I can just put the toe through the d link on the rear bar anyway if I had one!

Limited use for me, the HL. I have pretty enhanced suspension drop, so I'd really have to jack the thing a long way to get a wheel off the ground. I also have front and rear winches so if I'm stuck, a jack is the last thing that I'll be reaching for. Just put some new rock-sliders on and will probably put HL points in there instead.

Fair do's chris, for me the HL is a cheapish alternative to a rear winch, and I run standard height suspension/tyres so need to lift out of the ruts you'd drive through!
mind you it's hard work.....
Tree sliders and HD front bumper still to be fitted, how sad are we? its Saturday night and we're on the forum, er....

Been out, made it back - catching up on Come Dine with Me! Even sadder. I live on my Mac. Telly, Forums etc. Friend all over the World really.

Very different suspensions the Disco and mine. I have IFS which isn't as handy in the ruts. But 2 winches is a fantastic combination. Good for going sideways!

avoid frickly unless you like changing prop uj`s and wheelbearings, the stuff is like grinding paste.

Yeah why not. I get my front diff lock fitted during Dec and of course I still don't have my rear diff in! So at the moment, it'd be you pulling me out. Two tonnes of front wheel drive only - I don't think so. But once I get sorted, just lead me to the deep stuff. Sorting my wiring out on the new bumper at the moment. Got my air take off point installed, but I need some new airline. The VIAIR stuff just keeps rupturing for no good reason.

Nope, it's OD. Trust me. It's standard on board air spec for diff locks and the like. Narrow bore - 150psi

That's very decent of you. There is someone selling it on e-blag, but seeing as they didn't reply to my mail about postage on multiple items, they can nannas.

What do you want for it? I don't like to impose, but I need about 10m in total. Blue would be good, but I don't think that there is any difference between them. The stuff that I have is very inflexible (black) and it seems to split. It's not worn through as I protected any area that might rub. It just splits. It's not even old! Really hard to work with, I find.
