not much going on with the figaro??

Hey Kommer2015...I did get the interior fitted but then ground to a halt. The dash came out really nice...all electrics sorted, drain pipes redone etc etc.
Main problem is I got really busy with work over the summer (a good thing of course!)...and of course the amazing weather here in London really hasn't helped me crack on. The garage has a metal roof so I tend to avoid going down there when it's hot and sunny as it's like an oven!
That cup holder under the stereo....£200. I should quit work and just make cup holders!

if the cup holders are genuine then i can understand the high price, and then the price maybe high as there are not many of those particular parts made, a mass produced car is usually cheaper to get part for other then a limited production car. the less there is the more expensive it gets, before being on this place i had never heard of a nissan figaro and it seems like a very limited production car,barely 2 years of production or was it only one year, so yeah they can be dear for any part then.
like landrovers, the price of older series landrovers have skyrocketed as they no longer make the defender, but why has the price gone up, not necessary the fact they are no longer made its the fact people or sellers think that cause they are no longer made then they can con people into thinking they are super rare and demand a premium, i own an old 1963 series 2a landrover i see most go fro well over 4grans but i know for a fact they are not worth that at all id only be asking for say 2 to 2.5grand for mine as its not worth it, go back 10 years ago they had landrovers going for hundreds of dollars as no one wanted them, i think sometimes prices are influenced by sellers of classic cars and if one person has 10grand on a car then i can sell it for 10grand.

Cheers guys...I was lucky that I have the second Figaro to copy. I can't tell you the number of times I had to take a screw or clip off the second car to work out where things went.... I've definitely learned a lesson about bagging and labelling!
Yea work is a necessary evil I guess...I'm hoping to get back on the reassembly in a month or so....it's so frustrating as most of what I need to do is simple spanner work at the moment!
The main thing is all the electrics work and most of the wiring is now done. The job I need to do next is getting the boot area fitted out...the upper boot has a load of bits in there to operate the roof so that will take some time.
After that I'll be under the car refitting the tank and exhaust....I'm currently trying to find my hydraulic pump for the ramps....no idea where its gone but it's definitely a sign that I need to clean the garage!

Sorry for the lack of updates....work has kept me away from the garage for at least a couple of months. Of course it's great to have lots of work on....but it has meant poor Figgy has ground to a halt! In an effort to get things moving again I've gotten my mate Colin back in to help me with the reassembly....we managed a full day on it yesterday so just need to take a few pics and post of the progress so far...

Managed to get the boot wiring mostly sorted yesterday...also refitted the fuel tank too. Next jobs are to get the exhaust back in and then the roof on.
We are holding off on the panel painting ...I'd rather just make some good progress with the refitting which also clears the garage of bits too.

Got the exhaust back in...took 2 of us the whole day because a couple of threaded studs had been stripped....certainly looks the part. Tank went in last week...didn't get to paint it so that will need sorting. Replaced all the rubber fuel hoses...26 years old so just not worth taking any chances with them I think.
Exhaust setup is actually very nice with double rubber hangers at each hanging point so it hangs nice and symmetrical.

Not tried it yet slim....still got a few jobs to do under the bonnet to check things over as I pulled plenty of bits out when I was straightening the cross member. Plus I think the roof needs to be back on too as I think it senses whether the roof boot lid has been secured.
I think the Figaro has a whopping 75BHP...still nice to have those twin pipes

Got most of the boot back together and also got the roof back on...was definitely a 2 man job. Still needs adjusting but first we need to fit the roof seal so it sits properly. I think we have 1 more day of fitting out...mainly seals and door chrome bits ....then we'll have a clean out and we're onto paint again.

Slowly making progress ....today we got the door seals and some of the chrome fitted. Getting there....we are taking our time as it would be very easy to mess this up!
Just got the bottom corners of the roof seal in today...will give it 24 hrs and then work my way up the roof. Dunno what they used before to stick it down but the only thing that would clean up the messy seal was a heat gun....crazy amount of time spent!
