best thing I do when Im in a temper is down tools and go out in the pulsar either on a long drive or either to lidl or to my mates
Diesel is not the best penetrating fluid for seized parts. A thinner oil is more able to penetrate tight gaps.
either braze them siver solder them or soft solder take your choice just give a real good clean 1stheres some pics of todays work also a gem of a find the original petter cooling tank which was in our scrap trailer, but i can remember it being used as a dog kennal for our old dog morris about 10 years ago
can someone tell me if yo can weld up any cracks in the tank and fuel tank or is the metal to thin
right just spent the last 2 hours making my own key puller out of an old JCB bucket hitch and put 3 crash barrier bolts throught the 3 holes I gassed out and whilst tightening the nuts the head of the key has cracked away from the rest of the key , so I really have no idea what to do now I only want the flywheel off to paint it tidy cos I cant get the wirebrush at the back of the flywheel so the paint wont stick to it for long and to check the oil pump is not worn any ideas otherwise I will have to leave it on and hope the oil pump is in good order
If the head is broken off, you will have to drill into the end of the key and tap a thread into the hole, drill largest dia and drill as deeply as possible, you can to help to collapse the key then pull it out using a screwed rod or suitable bolt etc,

Looks a bit like an old BMC A Series manifold stud - do you know what the thread is? If it's a 5/16 UNF then they will be readliy available
Just put the engine together and started painting the petter green colour on, what i want to know is, is there a hardner i can apply to stop the paint scratching when its being moved
