That wasnt my meaning no! I was merely sugesting he may be now in the good books and as hes saved loads of money not getting a plumber in, he can now justify buying more tools.

Bit of a pain. The original flusher had been welded in with 87KG of solidified white gunk so I ended up having to use the dremel to carefully cut it out.
I was worried that the rough surface might mean the new washer may not seal but - fingers crossed - seems good so far.

you forgot to add the year of knowing its faulty but wouldnt sort it out

ive been sat here laughing my head off as i know how rotten of a job it is
cutting those lugs off is one of the worst things to do then having to undo the crusted on plastic flush valve
think yourself lucky it wasnt the old type they really got crusted on so tight you could break the pot trying to crack them off, the metal flush types still exist with the metal nut they are real swines to get off the pot
as goes for my comment ya get that from many customers and i wish it was that easy
yes ive had the ones that are a real pain and some of the newer tools come in handy nowadays its better than a padsaw and a hacksaw blade to cut through the bolt
